We lost "Taygun" Bekir GÜRAL (6th SAN) in a traffic accident on 29 Ekim 2009. He was head of referee committee and a distinguished member of Sayokan family.
His early and untimely departure from this world caused deep sarrow among Sayokan family.
He had a solid character and geniune friendship and was an accomplished martial artist.

For a long time it's been prepared and eventually first issue of Sayokan Magazine is been published in Turkish.

It is memorial day here in the US where we stop and remember the soldiers who died for our freedom. It reminded me of what Attaturk said regarding foreign soldiers. "Even the enemies who are buried in Turkiye are sons of Turkiye now, because their influence made it what it is today".
Sayokan USA team joined the 7th Annual Sensei Jim Grafe Memorial Kyokushin Karate Tournament in Hilton N.Y. Taygun David and John Jenkins won the 1st places in their categories, Alp Michelle Schutt and John Martello both took second places in semi full contactcompetition.
